Cook Your Cupboard

We’re all guilty of it, you guys.

You know, those random food products we buy or inherit from awkward gifts. And then they sit there. For awhile. And you can’t figure out what to do with them. And you feel bad as they inch closer to their expiration date. Or do they even have one???

NPR wants to help people find ways to turn strange and surplus food into a tasty meal. Just submit a photo of what food item(s) you have that are stumping you on the Cook Your Cupboard Tumblr page. You can also provide your own creative culinary suggestions on other people’s food pics. The folks at NPR’s Morning Edition will ask chefs about their favorite items and suggestions for their thoughts.

It’s fun to see into other people’s pantries and check out the surprisingly yummy sounding recipes people suggest. Zucchini Relish flatbread? Noms!

Hurry and get your pictures in – the first round ends Sunday, April 14!
